SOG Assisted Technology Increases Speed, Safety, and Usability
When you go to unfold the S67-N's blades, SOG's proprietary S.A.T. (SOG Assisted Technology) takes over. High-tension coil springs propel the blades open, so you can easily access the S67-N's blades with just one hand.
Additionally, S.A.T. multi-tools offer security and peace of mind with their locking mechanisms that are stronger, more reliable, and easier to access than other multi-tools'. When not in use, the blades lock closed using a patent-pending side release, and while in use, other tool components can lock open individually.
Combining Compound Leverage and PowerLock Technology for Safe, Easy Use
Driven by an exclusive interlocking gear system, SOG's patented Compound Leverage technology is a legend in folding tools. With the proprietary technology's increased leverage, SOG pliers generate twice the power of their conventional counterparts, minimizing the amount of hand pressure that is required to get the most torque out of the tool. And using SOG's PowerLock technology, the S67-N features removable, pivoting handle covers that improve hand comfort and allow for additional pressure on tough jobs.
SOG is the only company to apply Compound Leverage technology to EOD-specific (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) multi-tools. This technology makes the S67-N an ideal tool for crimping blasting caps and demolition cord with minimal hand pressure. The position of the crimper device within the handle is an EOD-specific feature unique to SOG. Additionally, the crimper produces non-flaring, high pull-out strength crimps that meet government fuse well specifications.
